About Total Chaos
Total Chaos is a brutal, atmospheric survival horror experience with deep roots in PC gaming history. Originally created by Sam Prebble as a groundbreaking DOOM II total conversion, the project evolved into a fully standalone release while preserving its oppressive tone and pushing the Build Engine to unsettling new extremes.
At Apogee Entertainment, I played a central role in bringing Total Chaos to market, shaping its brand voice, go-to-market strategy, creator outreach, and public-facing narrative. My work spanned creative direction, influencer marketing, campaign execution, and in-game voice acting, ensuring the game’s themes of isolation, decay, and psychological horror remained consistent across trailers, social content, showcases, and live creator coverage.
I co-edited and creatively guided award-winning trailers, including the OTK Expo Chat’s Choice winner, directed brand tone and messaging across all channels, voiced in-world audio logs to deepen immersion, and oversaw social content designed to reinforce the game’s unsettling identity and long-term community engagement.

INFLUENCER & CREATOR MARKETING
I led a large-scale influencer and creator marketing initiative centered on authenticity, genre credibility, and long-term discovery rather than one-off sponsored moments. The campaign emphasized organic reach, long-form playthroughs, and sustained momentum within the horror and survival space. Notable creators who streamed or covered Total Chaos included CohhCarnage, Sodapoppin, LIRIK, MoistCr1TiKaL, 8-BitRyan, Matt McMuscles, Parris, Zentreya, alongside dozens of mid- and long-tail creators across Twitch and YouTube. This approach ensured the game reached both mainstream audiences and deeply engaged horror communities, reinforcing trust and enthusiasm around the release.
Music Video Direction — “Catharsis” by Akira Yamaoka
Co-Directed the official Catharsis music video by Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill), extending Total Chaos’ psychological horror into a cinematic expression rooted in atmosphere, dread, and emotional weight. The video was featured by GameSpot, amplifying its reach beyond traditional game audiences.
ACCOLADES & PRESS IMPACT
I produced and supported the Total Chaos Accolades Trailer, which has surpassed 500,000+ views, amplifying critical praise and reinforcing post-launch momentum. The game received multiple features from Game Informer, including deeply personal editorial coverage highlighting its emotional resonance and thematic depth. Press response consistently praised the game’s atmosphere, psychological storytelling, and willingness to explore darker, more introspective themes within the horror genre.
IMPACT SUMMARY
Collectively, this work helped transform Total Chaos from a cult-classic mod into a mainstream survival horror success. The campaign delivered award-winning creative assets, high-impact creator coverage, and sustained launch momentum while establishing a repeatable framework for influencer-led horror launches across PC and console. In doing so, it strengthened Apogee Entertainment’s reputation as a publisher capable of elevating legacy projects into modern, culturally relevant successes.
